Hello! My name is Cassidy Cristello, and I am an aviation focused photographer living in Tucson, AZ. My passion for aviation sprouted when I was young, specifically with going to the Pima Air & Space Museum with my mom and going to the nearby Marana Regional Airport for breakfast with my dad. It further expanded after I got my first camera in 2022, a Kodak AZ421, which wasn’t the best but it helped me learn the basics. I upgraded to a Canon SX70 later that year, still sticking to the point-n-shoot camera market, and that’s where I really began to take off. My instagram started gaining traction with my acquisition of the SX70 and it was my first true “semi professional” camera. In late 2023 I upgraded to my first DSLR, the Canon 2000D- with the Sigma 150-600mm lens to pair with its two kit lenses. The 2000D helped me learn the new world of DSLRs and I created many good memories and did many many shoots on it. Late 2024 I would give it up for my current body, the Canon 90D. The 90D was where I began to receive my first commissions for photos and really taking my hobby more seriously. I’ve been fortunate enough through mainly social media to have connected with many great people and do many great things since 2022 and I look forward to my next photo that’ll be put on the SD card!
I’ve been writing part time articles for the acclaimed aviation outlet, Vintage Aviation News for over a year now, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have been published in ink on Air Force’s Monthly’s May magazine issue. Additionally, I’ve also had my writing featured by the Air Force Public Affairs Association.
